MikePrice Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-12
MikePrice (“the app”) is operated by Speedy Nordic Oy, Finland (“we”). This policy explains what the app does with data when a merchant installs it on their Shopify store.
What the app stores
- On your Shopify store (as metafields): your customer groups (tag names), display settings, and per-variant price tiers. This data belongs to your store and stays there after you uninstall the app; you can remove the settings and checkout discount from the Settings page inside the app before uninstalling, and delete the per-variant metafields from your product pages. Note that the per-variant price tiers are readable through the public Storefront API of your store, as is standard for theme-visible metafields.
- Wholesale applications (optional feature): when a signed-in customer fills in the “Wholesale application” block on your storefront, the company name, tax ID, message and any extra answers you configured are written to that customer’s record in your Shopify store as a metafield, and the customer is tagged for review. Our servers relay this submission to Shopify and do not keep a copy.
- Customer price list (optional feature): the price list and quick order page is served through a Shopify app proxy. To build it, our server reads the signed-in customer’s tags and your products’ group prices from Shopify for that request only; nothing is stored.
- On our servers: only the Shopify session needed to authenticate your store (shop domain and an encrypted access token). We do not store products, prices, orders or any customer records. Short-lived in-memory caches of product prices (minutes) and request counters are used to serve the storefront pages.
Customer data
The app reads customer tags to decide which price group a signed-in customer belongs to. This happens inside Shopify (in the storefront theme and in the checkout discount function) and, for the optional customer price list, on our server for the duration of the request. The app’s servers never receive customer names, emails, addresses, phone numbers or order history. The admin interface shows how many customers carry a tag and the wholesale applications customers submitted.
Mandatory Shopify webhooks
We implement Shopify’s customers/data_request, customers/redact and shop/redact webhooks. Because we hold no customer data, data requests return nothing and redaction deletes the store’s session. Wholesale application details live in your store as a customer metafield and are deleted when you delete the customer in Shopify.
Third parties
We do not sell or share data with third parties. Hosting is on servers we control; traffic is encrypted in transit.
Retention
Session data is deleted when the app is uninstalled (on app/uninstalled) and again on shop/redact.
